GLOBAL GAMES EVENTS AT LEVEL 1

There is no limit on the number of people who can attend the Global Games Event's or enter a public facility at Alert Level 1.

COVID-19 PREVENTION STRATEGIES AT GLOBAL GAMES EVENTS

  • Government guidelines for the current alert level at the date of the event will be strictly adhered to.

  • NZ COVID Tracer app QR codes will be on display at the entry points to each event venue, in addition to manual sign-in forms.

  • There will be ample supply of hand sanitiser available at each venue.

  • There will be regular cleans and good stocks of soap and paper towels in the toilet facilities across all venues.

  • Staff, contractors, volunteers and event attendees will be briefed to – scan into the site or use an alternative contact tracing method if they do not have their phone on them, have their bluetooth turned on (if they carry their phone) and have good hand hygiene.

  • Staff, contractors, volunteers and event attendees will be encouraged to stay home if they are unwell and seek advice from Healthline or their GP about a COVID-19 test if they have any symptoms. Symptoms of COVID-19 include a new or worsening cough, a fever of at least 38 degrees Celsius, shortness of breath, sore throat, sneezing and runny nose, temporary loss of smell.

  • Regular cleaning of high-touch surfaces and items.

  • Social media and event communications will be updated to clearly communicate compliance to COVID-19 restrictions and what attendees can expect.

SYMPTOMS OF COVID-19

The symptoms of COVID-19 are similar to common illnesses such as a cold or influenza.

You may have one or more of the following:

  • A new or worsening cough

  • Fever (at least 38C

  • Shortness of breath

  • A sore throat

  • Sneezing and runny nose

  • Temporary loss of smell

If you feel you have any of these symptoms before/during any of our festivals please DO NOT attend our events.

STAY SAFE DURING ALERT LEVEL 1

At Alert Level 1, we still need to play it safe. We all need to be ready in case COVID-19 comes back into the community.

To be ready at Alert Level 1

 

  • Stay home if you’re sick

  • Maintain good hygiene

  • Get tested if you have cold or flu symptoms

  • Keep track of where you’ve been and who you’ve seen

  • Turn on Bluetooth tracing
