No matter what each of our individual backgrounds are, we are all united through the mission of connecting cultures and giving as many young people from across NZ and the globe world-class sporting experiences!
The genuine interest Olivia has in people, communities and volunteer work experiences has confirmed her desired career to include teamwork and efficiency. Olivia finished studying Event Management at AUT University in 2018.
She is passionate about rugby and believes in the importance of getting ‘stuck in’ and ensuring people have positive and memorable experiences.
“My involvement with Global Games excites me. I have the energy and enthusiasm to ensure the success of events and look forward to putting smiles on young athletes faces.” When Olivia isn't working on Global Games she is working as Sport Coordinator at Iona College in Havelock, Hawkes Bay.
Ken has been with Global Games since the very first event in 2010! He has a huge amount of experience with rugby teams and has been a rugby referee for over 40 years! His warm nature and sharp sense of humour have earned him the title of the 'Grandfather of Global Games'!
Alongside his involvement in rugby, Ken is also a paramedic in Hamilton making him a huge asset to have in the Global Games team.
DR Te taka Keegan
Cultural Advisor/ Draws Manager
Te Taka takes charge of assembling the draws which are not easy when there are over 100 teams at one event!
Outside of Global Games Te Taka is a Senior Lecturer of Computer Science at Waikato University and has previously worked for Google. In 2018, Te Taka was awarded a Sustained Excellence in Tertiary Teaching Award as well as the Prime Minister's Supreme Award.
He has been passionate about junior sport with a strong background in rugby through coaching and refereeing.
At the Global Games events, Ari helps to collate the results and makes sure the right teams play each other in the second half of the events. Ari manages the MVP and best and fairest points also.
Outside of Global Games, Ari works as an Administrator at the Waikato District Health Board.
Mohi is a valued member of the Global Games family. Coming from a successful career in rugby league, he has a special connection with sport at a grass roots level. At all of our events, you will see Mohi working alongside all of our volunteers to ensure that the event runs smoothly!

Phil has a deep connection with sport and the community as shown by his history. He has coached rugby & cricket and also been involved with youth groups & participated in various sports. Since 1978, He has attended the Annual Sports Camp at Totara Springs, Matamata and is also involved at Willow Park Sports Camps in Eastern Beach Akld.
He referees rugby & touch rugby and also has experience refereeing in other codes like Hockey, Soccer, Indoor Bowls & Volleyball.
He likes to use humour to interact with both players, supporters & other officials. He loves sport and what it can do to help people grow, educate themselves in order to excel.

Rose ensures that all the team is kept in high spirits and energy is topped up by preparing the food at the event for the crew! Rose also assists her husband Phil where they provide technical support and communication management for the team.
Tyrone is a kiwi entrepreneur Dad, who loves nothing more than hanging out with his family, and spending time visiting the amazing places that make up New Zealand. When is not doing that, he is connecting with people from across the planet, helping make the impossible seem possible for grass roots clubs.
Tyrone is the man behind Global Games and has a vision to turn it in to a true Global organisation, breaking down barriers through sport and travel connecting thousands of kids of all cultures, religions and backgrounds. When Tyrone isn't working on Global Games, he is running his organic pie business, Pioneer Pie Co, that works with some of the best sustainable farms across the country to make award winning pies.
Jason Hart loves taking part in anything physical and keeping healthy which feeds into his passion for delivering sporting events to youth. Having represented NZ in multiple age group underwater hockey teams, Jason decided to study Sport and Exercise Science at Auckland University. Once completing his studies, Jason jumped on board with the Global Games team and hasn't looked back since.
Alongside Global Games, Jason is also a proud soldier in the NZ Defence Force.
Jason is super passionate about getting others to live healthier lifestyles and education.
