Who will have access to the Team Sheets & Game Scoring?
Anyone who has been given scorer access to their team by their team administrator.
How many scorers can score the game?
It's important to note that while multiple people can be set up as scorers for a team, only one person can actively score a game at a time.
What am I scoring during the game?
The final score recorded is the total number of points. For example, if Team A makes 3 tries and Team B makes 5 tries, Team A receives a final score of 15 points and Team B receives a final score of 25 points. 1 try = 5 points.
I am a referee and a team manager, how do I log in to the Global Games app?
If you are both a referee and a coach/team manager or scorer, you’ll use the same login. The options available per team once logged in depend on your role. For example, referees cannot submit team sheets, so if you open a team as a referee instead of a manager, the option to submit a team sheet won’t appear.
I am a referee but I can't see my games when I log in to the app?
If you've registered as a referee against the appropriate referee registration form, you will be assigned a game or games by HQ. Only once you have been assigned a game will you see games populate in the app.
How do I update player details (including their profile photo) if they are incorrect?
Player details can only be updated by accessing TeamBuilder (via a Browser). View your team and edit the specific player's registration record.
The original team entry confirmation email contains a link that provides you access directly to your team, if you do not have this email any longer or did not bookmark the link in your browser, please contact HQ.
How will the players get on the Team Sheet?
All players must be registered for Global Games against their respective team to appear on the team sheet. For last minute additions or changes you will need to come see us at HQ.
Do you have to be online/using data to use the App?
Yes, to to select and submit your team sheet and Score.
As a manager, how do I get access to the Global Games App?
Firstly, make sure you've downloaded the official Global Games App and login, click the Officials icon and either Register Here (if a new user) or Login (if an existing Sporty user). Enter your team access code then you are good to go! Make sure you have taken a look at the Team Manager User Guide linked below if you have any questions.
If you are unsure of the unique team access code for your team let us know at HQ.
I forgot my password, help!
Login via the Global Games app and select forgot password. Simply enter your username (this will normally be your email address), click submit, and a password reset email will be sent to you. Follow the instructions in the email to set a new password.
My phone died and I need to submit a team list, what do I do?
Keep a hard copy of the results and enter when you have charged your phone, or take it into festival HQ. Alternatively, log in to the app via anothers device and submit your team list.
I have logged in, and I can’t see my game?
- Has your draw been created?
- Check with your club admin that you have access to the right team.
- Check your team has an active draw.
- Ask your club admin to send you the login app link again, click on the appropriate link in the app and then log into the app again.
- You’re not the scorer of the correct team, or you haven’t been granted scoring access to this team.
Some of my players aren’t there, why?
- The players haven’t registered with the team.
Solution: Players must register online and be loaded into the team. - The players have registered, but they haven’t been loaded into the team.
Solution: Contact HQ as they will need to load the player(s) into the team. - They’re not registered and cannot play this match.
Solution: players needs to register online and the club admin needs to assign that player to the team so you can select them.
How do I know who hasn’t sent in their scores?
The result displayed in the website will be blank.
When do my results and team sheets need to be submitted by?
These timeframes will be set by the individual competitions.
When do I need to have submitted my selection for the Team Awards & Feedback?
They need to be submitted before you can submit the final score. This must be completed before moving onto the next game.
The festival is about to start and I have a problem that isn’t answered here, what do I do?
- Contact your club administrator in the first instance to check if they can help.
- If they can’t help, ask your club administrator to contact us.
I'm submitting referee feedback and game event feedback for the Team Awards, what does the scale mean?
- Very poor
- Some bad points (more bad than good)
- Expected behaviour (usual starting point)
- Exceeds (more good than bad)
- Outstanding
